What’s in my Purse – Summer Edition!

Hey guys! So I love these kind of posts. It’s basically a socially acceptable form of snooping. So I figured, since I am such a snoop when it comes to how people live their everyday lives, y’all might be too. So without further ado, lets get started!

The bag I am currently carrying is a “Tote” from Vera Bradley in the pattern “Happy Snails”. -link- This is a discontinued pattern, but you can still find it at some outlets and online. I really love this bag because the colors are perfectly summery and it matches most sundresses, which I am usually wearing this time of year. It doesn’t zip or anything so I don’t carry anything that’s not replaceable or something I can’t live without (besides my phone, of course). It is a bigger bag than I would typically carry, but since I keep the contents to a minimum, I can throw a swimsuit and sunscreen in on a moments notice. Another benefit of carrying a Vera Bradley during the summer is the fact that they’re washable. Just flip that baby inside out, take the base out of the bottom, and throw it in the washer. (I promise this isn’t a sponsored post, I just love this bag!)

I always have my phone with me. I have a white iPhone 4, and currently have this -link- case on it! If you want to see what’s on my iPhone, let me know!

Hello Kitty ‘scented’ tissue. This was a lie. They are not scented. They do not smell like fruity deliciousness. Hello Kitty is a liar.

The day you take a nail kit out of your purse, is the day you need a nail kit. I have used this bad boy for everything from clipping a hangnail, to opening a pack of batteries for a diabetic man in Target. Super helpful. I don’t know where this exact one came from as it was a gift, but I found some great alternatives. -link- -link- All manicure kits are basically the same, but I prefer the first link.

Keys. Those are pretty self explanatory. I have a key to my car, my moms car, and my boyfriends car. I also have two little rewards card keychain things for a local mexican restaurant, and a gas station (like fuel perks). Attached to that I have a little zip id case, also from Vera Bradley -link- (i’m sorry I forgot the pattern, it’s discontinued also) which contains a couple bucks, my college ID and some quarters for vending machines. I put this in my backpack instead of taking my whole wallet. I also can throw my debit card & drivers license in if I need to run to the grocery store or something.

My full wallet. I actually won this wallet in one of those Facebook giveaway things, where you like and share the page. I don’t know what possessed me to do it, but I ended up winning, so that was fun. The only thing I don’t like about this is that it doesn’t have a spot especially for my drivers license. But I can get past it, for the sake of beauty. On one side I have my drivers license, my debit cart, my library card(cue the Arthur song -link- ), a banking info card and my voter registration card. On the other side I keep my American Eagle all access pass from when I was in middle school(they still accept it), my Ulta rewards card, my Winn Dixie customer rewards card, my Panera bread member card, a punch card from Walgreens, and some free vouchers for some nutrition places in my town that serve Herbalife protein shakes. In the middle I just keep some graduation money and my change.

A couple pens and highlighters left behind from summer classes..

A hair tie. I like the sports ones from Goody (not shown). They’re ribbed so they stay in your hair better. I still have a ton from when I was dancing. I can never seem to find one when I need it though.

Makeup bag without any makeup? Yes, to prevent clutter I keep stuff like floss picks, a makeup mirror, earbuds, hand sanitizer and extra hair ties in this makeup bag from Laura Geller. It’s old, and was a QVC exclusive, so I don’t know if you can find it anymore.

Sunnies! Since I am prone to migraines (yes, I know, everything is wrong with me), I always have to wear shades when I even walk outside, much less drive. This particular pair is from Walmart and they’re polarized, which is surprising for a $5 pair of glasses. You always want to make sure your sunglasses are polarized to keep your eyes actually protected from the sun. If you don’t have polarized shades, you’re actually letting UV rays into your eyes. Wearing shades that are polarized is basically like wearing sunscreen. (Info found here -link-)

Last but not least, I keep a Bausc lip balm in the flavor Berry Pie. This is by far the best lip balm I have ever tried. It is free of all the harsh chemicals found in most beauty products, is organic, and actually tastes flipping amazing. If you’ve been reading my blog at all for the last month, you would know that my family has been doing a 3 week allergen fast to clean out all the toxins in our body and so we can see what we’re actually allergic to when it comes to Gluten, Soy, Dairy or Corn products. This lip balm is perfect because it contains none of the ingredients we’re trying to avoid and you can actually pronounce all of the ingredients. (Except one, Butyrospermum, which I found out is basically Shea butter.) I highly suggest you check their site out, and it says that you get free shipping when you spend $50 which is easy to do because you’ll want everything! -Site- -lip balm- -their Facebook page-

*This is not a sponsored post, I honestly just love this product.
