Music Overhaul

Excuse me for a second, are you listening to Umbrella..again? I think you need some new tunes. Fortunately for you, I have some! Old and new alike, my playlist will mellow your mood without bumming you out. And for fear of sounding like a stoner, here we go.

This lady has some insane pipes, and a journal full of heartbreaking songs to match. She has an album out, but I find myself listening to the same EP songs over and over. I adore EP’s. Some of my favorites of hers are linked down below with the youtube link.

Run (Acoustic) – link

Medicine – link

Youth – link

Landfill – link

This band is insane. Lyrically stable, but with vocals that are like toffee for your ears. They’re about to release an album, which I will be buying asap. After you have a listen, you will be too.

What Would You Do (City High cover) – link

Flaws – link

Gabrielle Aplin

Beautiful vocals, haunting almost. Her lyrics are extremely relatable. You will find yourself singing these in the car or whilst doing laundry, and that my friends, is a Darby King promise.

Please Don’t Say You Love Me – link

So thats what I’ve been listening to lately. If you have any suggestions for music I might like, leave me a comment so I can check it out. I hope y’all have a great weekend! Much Love, Darby

June Favorites!

It’s that time of the month again…monthly favorites time! Since July first is tomorrow I thought I would share the things I’ve been loving for this month with you! Lets get started!

Nicole By OPI nail polish in the shade, Wear Something Spar-Kylie

I was completely drooling over this particular nail polish when the Kardashian collection came out last year, but alas, I did not have the money to drop on a $9 bottle of nail polish, so I sadly tried to forget it’s existence. Ironically enough, as I was rummaging through the beauty section at Marshall’s, I came across a duo of this color and All Kendall-ed Up for $5.99. I was in such disbelief, I actually asked the sales lady if the sticker was correct. I mean six dollars for two OPI nail polishes is crazy talk! It just so happened the sticker was right, and I happily continued on my way with two new nail polishes in tow.

I ❤ Extreme, Crazy Volume Mascara by Essence

As mentioned in my previous post, i seem to be on a mascara kick right now, so it is only fitting to include a mascara in my monthly favorites. This particular one is by Essence and does a surprisingly good job for a $3 mascara. It separates my lashes all while making them longer and seemingly fuller. I would repurchase this mascara when I run out and I strongly suggest you try one!

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

This is my Holy Grail pressed powder. It isn’t as fine as a typical pressed powder and is heavier, so much so that I just wear this when I don’t feel like wearing a foundation. I have the color 001 and I will definitely repurchase when I run out.

Blue Diamond Roasted & Salted Almonds

My family is on our second week of eating allergen free to see if we’re allergic to anything. This includes eliminating Soy, Dairy, Gluten and Corn products from our diet for three weeks. Since I know I am not allergic to nuts or nut products, I have been snacking on these bad boys constantly. I am halfway through my second bag and I know there is a third in my future. They’re yummy and I love them.

Espresso Bar candle from Bath & Body Works

I just recently go this during the semi annual sale for $10 instead of the typical $20 for a 3 wick candle. In a nutshell, this candle smells like Starbucks. Strong coffee smell with a hint of sweet. I can’t figure out if it is chocolate or caramel, but I don’t care. It’s allready half way burned and I cannot get enough.

Popular Song by MIKA feat. Ariana Grande

I’ve really been enjoying this song. I think it’s funny, and it’s ridiculously catchy.

We Can’t Stop by Miley Cyrus

When I first heard this song I absolutely hated it. But as it happens, after I heard it on the radio a couple times I got addicted.

I think that about wraps it up! I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any June favorites, feel free to leave it in the comments! Happy Beautifying!
